The Portland Press Herald recently interviewed me (Jen) for an article about our immersive 3D project created for the Maine Mineral and Gem Museum. We are so thankful to the PPH for their ongoing support of Maine indie filmmaking, and honestly, it’s rewarding to see our work highlighted in a public setting.
That said, it’s also a bit embarrassing to be in the spotlight and although the article focuses on me as a filmmaker, I’d like to stress that this project was a true collaboration by many different experts in their own respective fields. From the museum designer, Paulus Design Group, who came up with the concept – to the writing collaborators: MMGM’s Executive Director (Barbra), meteorite consultants (Alan, Henning, and Darryl), along with my STOBO partner, Allen – to the amazing production team: Sputnik Animation, Michael McInnis Productions, and VO talent, Denise Poirier – plus a special hardware assist by Perch Design to get those damn projectors to blend. As they say, it takes a village and I’m so grateful to all of my collaborators. I’m proud to have been part of this team of talented Maine creative professionals.
